Representative Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Verify the accuracy of subcontractor and vendor invoices. Ensure that the subcontractor has invoiced using the BCCI "Subcontractor Request for Payment" form and included a conditional progress/final waiver. Accurately enter and post all subcontractor expenses in the CMiC Image Manager Module.

  • Correspond with subcontractors and other vendors to ensure accurate invoicing. Requesting revisions when submissions are incorrect and or incomplete.

  • Effectively communicate with Project Managers regarding invoices processing obstacles due to budget discrepancies and overages. Ability to escalate issues to Project Accountants when contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals are not in alignment.

  • Manage and track subcontractor lien releases for internal and external purposes.

  • Assist with projects close out by supporting project accountants in verifying that all subcontractor costs have been accounted for and are in alignment with subcontracts.

  • Maintain electronic files that include but not limited to invoices, billing packets, client/sub unconditional waivers, preliminary notices, and any relevant PO records received.

  • Assist with project setup on a timely basis by converting opportunities into jobs.

  • Work closely with project accountants to resolve any subcontractor payment issues.

  • Participate in any and all training required to perform duties of position to fullest extent and assist other project accountants with their workload as necessary.

  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma

  • College level courses in accounting, finance and/or bookkeeping preferred

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:

  • Basic Excel knowledge required.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written communication.

  • Microsoft Office suite knowledge a plus.

  • Procore

  • CMiC

Experience:

  • 1 years' experience in accounting in the Construction industry.
