Security is responsible for providing the physical protection of Baptist Health assets, including people, property, reputation, and information.

Lead Security Officer

Full-Time, Second Shift

Job Description:

• Supervises other Security Officers and monitors work related functions during assigned shift.
• Enforces hospitalregulations, provides a safe and secure environment for hospital patients, visitors and employees.
• The SecurityOfficer Leac will enforce hospital policies and security regulations through active monitoring and patrolling ofBaptist property by continuously watching and reporting of potential safety hazards and unusual occurrences.
• As determined by supervisory personnel, the Security officer investigates complaints or potential criminalconduct; assists in restraining patients as necessary; provides protective services.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• One Year related Experience
• Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS)-American Heart Association within 90 Days
• Must obtain Aegis within 90 Days
• Must obtain Taser 7 certification within 90 Days
• Must obtain Basic & Advanced International Association for Healthcare Security & Safety (IAHSS) certification within6 months
