Overview

The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for leading daily housekeeping operations with a strong focus on accountability, consistency, and execution. This role ensures that guest rooms and public areas meet brand standards at all times by actively inspecting work, enforcing expectations, and following through on all operational needs.

This is a hands-on leadership role that requires strong floor presence, direct communication, and the ability to address performance issues in real time. The Supervisor is expected to take full ownership of their shift, support the team, and drive a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Hourly Rate of Pay: $27.00

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daily housekeeping operations with a strong presence on the floor, ensuring all assigned areas meet cleanliness and presentation standards
  • Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces consistently and address deficiencies immediately
  • Hold team members accountable through clear expectations, follow-up, and consistent enforcement of standards
  • Provide direct coaching and feedback in real time to improve performance and prevent recurring issues
  • Assign daily work based on business needs, occupancy levels, and operational priorities
  • Ensure all guest requests are completed accurately and in a timely manner, following through until resolution
  • Support the team during high-volume periods by stepping in as needed to maintain operational flow
  • Maintain organization and control of supplies and inventory to support efficiency and cost management
  • Accurately log and manage Lost and Found items in accordance with property procedures
  • Ensure compliance with safety, sanitation, and company policies at all times
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to support overall hotel operations and guest satisfaction

Qualifications and Skills

  • Previous housekeeping experience required; supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in a fast-paced hotel environment with a focus on accountability and results
  • Proven ability to address performance issues directly and follow through until resolution
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently identify and correct deficiencies in guest rooms and public areas
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, make decisions independently, and manage competing operational demands
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear expectations, provide real-time feedback, and handle difficult conversations professionally
  • Ability to adapt communication style to interact effectively with team members, leadership, and guests
  • Ability to grasp, lift, carry, or otherwise move materials weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift, and actively support the team on the floor as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation
