The Director, FP&A will serve as a key member of the finance leadership team, bringing both analytical excellence and a forward-looking strategic mindset. This leader will own the full FP&A function - including forecasting, reporting, business partnering, and external reporting - while also driving the team's evolution toward an modernized financial operating service provider. The ideal candidate sees around corners, communicates with clarity and conviction at the executive level, and builds teams that are capable, curious, and continuously improving.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Drive continuous improvement of FP&A processes, reporting, and analytics to enhance accuracy, consistency, and pace
  • Lead the team in adopting emerging technologies and expanding current FP&A platforms (SAC Analytics)
  • Lead the annual budgeting, long-range planning, and forecast process across the business units, developing key governance oversight
  • Partner with senior leadership to influence business strategy through datadriven financial insights
  • Lead financial due diligence and integration planning for mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments
  • Deliver executivelevel and boardready financial reporting tied to operating performance and strategic initiatives
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain financial models, dashboards, and key performance indicators to monitor business performance
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities, providing actionable recommendations to improve performance and cost efficiency
  • Responsible for all external reporting deliverables to maintain full compliance with lending partners
  • Lead in a manner that supports Rumpke's values of teamwork, quality, perseverance, growth and responsibility



Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position will manage 1-5 employees
  • This position will not oversee and direct other managers



Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:



  • Ability to effectively build relationships with business partners (inside and outside of finance)
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills, with high attention to detail
  • Work in fast-paced environment while managing multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Ability to work both independently and in cross-functional teams
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential situations with sound judgment



Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration or related field. MBA and/or CPA Preferred.
  • At least 10 years of experience in progressive finance experience in FP&A or Accounting.
  • Ability to influence senior management with strong interpersonal & presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast paced environment



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Rarely working outside in changing temperatures, wet/humid conditions
  • Rarely working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
  • Continuously sitting
  • Frequently standing/walking



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Ability to travel between offices, as required
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
