As we continue to grow, we're seeking a Senior Commercial & Product Attorney

who will serve as a strategic legal partner to Commerical, Go-to-Market and Product teams by providing end-to-end legal support for global technology transactions and across the product development lifecycle. You will work with the Legal team to help enable the design, launch, and commercialization of cybersecurity and technology solutions, balancing revenue objectives with security, privacy, IP, and regulatory risk management.

Please note that this is a hyrid role that requires on-site work at our office in Burlington, MA.


What You'll Do

  • Commercial & transactional leadership: Structure, draft, and negotiate complex technology agreements (e.g., MSAs, SaaS subscriptions, managed services, software licensing), including security exhibits, DPAs, SLAs/SOWs, and liability provisions.
  • Cybersecurity, privacy & regulatory compliance: Interpret and apply global frameworks and laws (e.g., EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), EU AI Act, GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS) to product features and commercial activities, including international data transfer considerations.
  • Product counseling: Embed with Product and Engineering to advise on secure-by-design principles, roadmaps, and feature specifications from design through launch and evolution.
  • Data governance & privacy engineering: Support platform/data strategy and data governance; partner with technical teams on privacy-by-design practices and conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs).
  • Security incidents & vulnerability management: Support incident response (including breach notification and regulatory reporting); advise on vulnerability disclosure programs, and testing protocols.
  • IP, licensing & open source: Identify and assess IP and technology risks; counsel on open-source usage and license compliance; help coordinate and advance IP strategy, including trademarks.
  • User-facing and product documentation: Draft and manage Terms of Service, EULAs, privacy policies, product disclosures, and other external documentation; help ensure consistency between product positions and negotiated terms.
  • Cross-functional partnership: Support legal team to streamline product and contract workflows while enabling informed, risk-based decision-making with Product, Engineering, Security, Sales, Finance, Privacy, and Legal colleagues.

What You'll Bring

  • Education & admission: JD from an accredited law school; admitted and in good standing in a relevant U.S. state.
  • Experience: 5-10 years of progressive legal experience, including significant experience advising on technology transactions and product/technology and/or IP matters (in-house experience at a growing SaaS company preferred).
  • Technical fluency: Ability to understand and communicate technical security and product concepts (e.g., cloud architecture, APIs, encryption) and translate them into actionable legal guidance and risk assessments.
  • Regulatory expertise: Strong knowledge of cybersecurity and privacy laws and standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, NIST/ISO), and familiarity with emerging cyber/AI regimes (e.g., CRA, EU AI Act) and sector requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SEC cyber rules) as applicable.
  • Core skills: Strong negotiation, drafting, and issue-spotting skills; excellent written and verbal communication; ability to manage multiple priorities, navigate ambiguity, and exercise sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.

This position has a starting base salary range of $129,000 to $164,000 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for bonus.
