Description

As the Human Resources Manager at our De Pere Shipping Container Division, you'll sit on the leadership team and help connect the dots between business goals and the day-to-day employee experience. You'll coach leaders, build strong teams, and keep our culture grounded in safety, respect, and continuous improvement. If you like strategy and rolling up your sleeves to make things happen, this role gives you both.


Responsibilities

  • Partner with the General Manager and leadership team to set and execute the site's people strategy (org design, change leadership, workforce planning).


  • Champion a safety-first, people-first culture by modeling consistent, transparent leadership behaviors.
  • Coach leaders on performance management, corrective action, and effective day-to-day people leadership.
  • Lead employee relations efforts, including investigations, conflict resolution, and proactive issue prevention.
  • Drive organizational development: leadership development, succession planning, talent reviews, and team effectiveness.
  • Promote and sustain the team-based work system through training, role clarity, accountability, and continuous improvement behaviors.
  • Partner with leaders on recruiting strategies, selection, internal mobility, and onboarding to accelerate early-tenure success.
  • Oversee HR operations, policies, and practices to ensure consistency, compliance, and an excellent employee experience.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR on compensation, benefits, and HR systems administration; help employees navigate questions and issue resolution.
  • Plan and support communication, recognition, and engagement initiatives that strengthen culture and two-way feedback.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience with leadershiplevel influence
  • Strong background in organizational development and leadership coaching
  • Proven employee relations, performance management, and change leadership experience
  • Manufacturing or industrial HR experience preferred
  • Master's degree or HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRMCP/SCP) preferred
