Work Location: This role works remotely 50% of the time and from our Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio location 50% of the time. In rare situations the role may be required to go to another Northeast Ohio location.

This role lifts 30 pounds of equipment regularly.

Role Objective

Provide expert design, implementation, and operational support for enterprise IT systems while proactively improving system reliability, security posture, and operational efficiency. This role supports business continuity, compliance, and innovation through disciplined change management, automation, and modern infrastructure practices.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Implements shared network operating systems and hardware resources
  • Installs and maintains networked application software to provide business tools for users
  • Manages service/maintenance for network computer equipment
  • Proactively monitors and implements tools to ensure efficient infrastructure performance and stability
  • Determines causes of problems and makes corrections/adjustments to the infrastructure architecture to resolve them
  • Maintains up-to-date documentation of infrastructure and procedures, including but not limited to servers, storage, network, and applications
  • Uses the IT change management system to proactively track, plan, communicate, and implement changes to the network environment
  • Performs new technology research to stay current
  • Provides high level user and network troubleshooting assistance to IT Help Desk and LAN Administrators
  • Installs and maintains network hardware including servers, routers, switches and other infrastructure devices
  • Prepares anti-virus and other infrastructure security related toolsets to ensure that infrastructure and workstations are protected from virus infections and security breaches
  • Backup other team members when out-of-office schedules require
  • Ensures appropriate service levels for infrastructure system availability are met during core and non-core business hours. Conducts project planning, benchmarks, and deadlines
  • Ensures current documentation of infrastructure architecture, processes, and services. Infrastructure hardware/software maintained at vendor-supported levels
  • Implementations of changes to the infrastructure are managed, planned, tested to ensure no negative impact on business capability
  • Responds to technical issues during on-call assigned hours
  • Updates production systems during scheduled monthly maintenance
  • Serves as project manager on team projects
  • Helps coordinate daily team operations
  • Coordinates internal and external resources, as needed, to meet changing enterprise priorities
  • Develops staff competencies and coaches follow team members to assist them in building their technical skills and achieving results
  • Cultivation of competencies in team members and self for enterprise and individual benefit
  • Sources talent; adherence to Clorox Purell policies, processes, and procedures

Education and Experience

  • Minimum eight (8) years hands-on experience in network and systems administration and support or recent certification in at least three major network or systems discipline (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, etc.)
  • Experience with the following technologies preferred: Windows PC/Server operating systems, VMware/Proxmox, Microsoft Exchange, Exchange Online (M365), Microsoft System Center, Active Directory, Azure, ADCS, DHCP, DNS, Remote Desktop Services, backup/recovery, and other fundamental infrastructure systems
  • Preferred: Bachelor 's degree; Advanced network discipline certifications; major scripting language experience

Supervision/Coordination

Provides mentoring and coaching to junior team members, as applicable. Coordinate tasks, schedules, projects and promotes/adheres/enforces policies and procedures. Leverage relationships with external suppliers and service providers.

Compensation & Benefits

The expected starting pay for this role is between 76,200.00 - 104,800.00 per year. Within this range, an offer will depend on factors such as level of experience and technical competencies relevant to this specific role, as well as internal equity considerations.
