SUMMARY: Director of Technical Operations (119 Director of Heavy Maintenance) is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the Technical Operations Department, including Materials Management, Aircraft Maintenance Planning and Powerplant Repair Services; Responsible for the direct oversight of all Heavy Maintenance and Modification activities performed at domestic and international third party repair stations; Responsible for all Aircraft Acquisition Activity relating to Maintenance and Engineering to include coordination of importing requirements, technical acceptance of aircraft and aircraft records review and acceptance. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Director of Technical Operations is responsible for directing and coordinating the activities of the Technical Operations Department, including Materials Management, Aircraft Maintenance Planning and Powerplant Repair Services; Responsible for the direct oversight of all Heavy Maintenance and Modification activities performed at domestic and international third party repair stations; Responsible for all Aircraft Acquisition Activity relating to Maintenance and Engineering to include coordination of importing requirements, technical acceptance of aircraft and aircraft records review and acceptance. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides executive oversight of all Technical Operations, Heavy Maintenance, Materials Management, Aircraft Planning and Powerplant Repair Services management personnel, including Managers. QUALIFICATIONS: REQUIREMENTS: Minimum of 10 years' experience in aircraft maintenance activities (aircraft engineering, line maintenance, aircraft heavy maintenance or maintenance administration) A&P License Knowledge of heavy maintenance, operational control, supplier's capabilities and capacity Extensive knowledge of technical aspects of aircraft maintenance, inspection and record keeping Strong organizational skills that allow for multiple activities in work concurrently Knowledge of skills identification, staffing requirements and schedule projections Working knowledge of FAR's as they apply to both Part 145 and Part 121 Ability to interface with Senior level and Executive level management of third party suppliers Proven business management and contract negotiation skills PREFERRED: Working knowledge of CMMS Bachelor's degree Meets requirements of 119.67 Director of Maintenance Licenses & Certifications
