Job Title: Practice Coordinator 3

Location(s): San Francisco, CA

Position Overview
The Practice Coordinator 3 supports both back-office operations and call center functions within a high-volume orthopedic spine clinic. This role serves as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring efficient scheduling, accurate documentation, and a high standard of patient service while maintaining compliance with HIPAA and organizational protocols.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of inbound patient calls (approximately 55-60 calls per day)
  • Provide accurate information, assistance, and support to patients
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate with providers and clinical teams
  • Verify and update patient demographic and insurance information
  • Accurately document patient interactions, inquiries, and scheduling details
  • Adhere to call center workflows and HIPAA compliance standards
  • Address patient concerns and complaints in a professional and empathetic manner
  • Provide basic medical information and directions within scope
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative staff to resolve patient issues efficientl.
Required Qualifications
  • 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience in a healthcare, call center, or patient-facing role
  • Prior experience with APeX (required)
  • Strong understanding of patient registration and scheduling workflows
  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality standards.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (No weekends).
