What to Expect
As Tesla's General Conditions Project Manager, you will own the full scope of site support and field logistics during the construction of large greenfield refinery sites: equipment rentals, sanitation, fuel, water, trash, fencing, dewatering, and site maintenance. This is a high-tempo, high-accountability execution role for someone who finds satisfaction in operational excellence and refuses to let logistics be the reason field crews lose productive work.
What You'll Do
- Own and manage all general conditions services across the site, rental equipment (buggies, generators, connexes, vehicles, temporary lighting, trash and dumpster services, temporary sanitation facilities, and water/ice field distribution through a mix of third-party contracts and self-perform operations
- Manage fuel supply logistics (diesel and gasoline) for the full site, ensuring uninterrupted delivery and distribution to all equipment and work areas without creating operational gaps
- Lead all site maintenance operations: dewatering, temporary structures, parking and laydown management, dust suppression, temp utilities, temp roads, temp fencing, signage, temp erosion control, and material stockpile organization, keeping the site safe, functional, and compliant at all times
- Manage a structured field purchasing program covering office supplies, safety gear and PPE, and site maintenance materials, sourcing at best value and maintaining cost accountability
- Administer all general conditions vendor contracts, monitoring performance, tracking spend against budget, and processing change orders with discipline and urgency
- Operate proactively, anticipating site operational needs before they become disruptions, solving problems before field crews know they exist, and continuously improving site logistics as the project scales
What You'll Bring
- 5+ years of experience in construction site operations, general conditions management, or field logistics on major capital or heavy industrial projects
- Demonstrated ability to manage a large volume of concurrent vendor contracts, service agreements, and purchasing activity simultaneously without losing cost or schedule control
- Deep familiarity with construction site support systems: equipment rentals, temporary facilities, fuel logistics, dewatering, laydown planning, and site maintenance operations
- Experience with field purchasing, cost coding, invoice approval, and budget tracking for general conditions scopes
- Highly organized, resourceful, and decisive; you thrive in fast-moving environments where priorities shift and no two days look the same
- Strong vendor management and communication skills; you set clear expectations, and hold suppliers accountable
