HDR is seeking a Project Manager to join our Colorado-Based Industrial team. The Project Manager will be a seller-doer who establishes and maintains client relationships, helps in developing proposals, develops plans for performing the work, monitors and communicates the status of their projects, and leads multi-discipline project teams to successful completion of the work. This role requires client interaction and strong verbal and written communication skills as needed for regular interaction with internal staff such as project team members, marketing staff, and operations leadership. In this role we'll count on you to:

  • Plan, schedule, lead and manage all aspects of multi-disciplined projects.
  • Independently coordinate work of professional staff and balance team throughout entire project's development
  • Establish and develop client relationships, and be involved with marketing, proposal development, contract adherence, engineering design and production meetings
  • Participate in reviews with project owners and/or various governing agencies regarding regulatory compliance issues
  • Conduct work sessions for design development and contract document in conjunction with other staff
  • Coordinate workload through entire project development, and verify completion of quality work products on schedule and within budget
  • Track financial aspects of projects, and coordinate and adjust work effort with team to verify work is completed within parameters of agreed-to schedule and financial goals
  • Work with Business/Accounting Manager or Project Controller and Department Manager for internal project reviews with company management as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years professional experience
  • Ability to multitask while working on many projects at once
  • Competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Project
  • Basic understanding of Google Earth, ESRI ArcGIS, Autodesk AutoCAD, and Bentley Microstation
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • PMP Certification
  • Experience in Oil and Gas industry Experience with natural gas pipelines as well as trenchless crossings is preferred.
  • Experience with natural gas regulating facilities is preferred.
  • Candidates must be able to perform other project tasks involving site investigation, evaluation of permitting requirements, evaluation of environmental conditions, and determination.
  • Experience in interfacing with Federal, State, and local agencies as well as community boards for project planning is beneficial.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in related field
  • 7 years related experience
  • A minimum of 2 years project management experience
  • Must have the ability to interact with various design teams, have excellent organizational, project management and communication (both written and verbal) skills
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) Colorado: $126,203.00 - $180,290.00 Minnesota $120,467.00 - $172,095.00
