Summary: The Director, Pharmacy, leads a team of pharmacy professionals, including subordinate leaders in daily operations of an assigned cross-section of pharmacy operations. The Director pursues organizational goals as assigned through effective performance management, workforce planning, budgetary oversight, and metric administration. Responsibilities: *Hires, leads and develops assigned team, including subordinate leaders, responsible for an assigned cross-section of pharmacy operations. Fosters independence and autonomy through the delivery of timely, thorough, and constructive feedback on performance. *Defines team member skill mix within assigned headcount. Participates in workforce planning in coordination with executive leadership. Administers discretionary financial incentives for labor allocation and planning. Accountable to labor productivity metrics. *Distills strategic direction and goals nested within own assigned priorities. *Defines policy and key performance indicators / metrics for assigned area of responsibility, typically bridging two or more subordinate workgroups or areas of responsibility. Facilitates and drives the change process. *Partners with the Quality organization regarding broad initiatives and attention to key incidents. Sets the tone for patient safety and quality in their assigned organization. *Develops cross-functional relationships as a champion of patient care, quality, and professionalism. Collaborates with cross-functional peers to support strategic initiatives and goals across the system of care. *Ensures compliant operations accountable to regulatory and accreditation authorities, acting as subject matter expert regarding compliance. Ensures and audits compliance with federal, state, local and institutional policies, procedures, standards and regulations. Other information: Qualifications Required *Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy. *Licensed as a Pharmacist in the state of North Carolina. *Experience performing in a formal leadership role. *Five (5) years working in a pharmacist role. Preferred *Doctoral degree in Pharmacy. *Pharmacy Administration Residency training.
