Security Systems Superintendent Job Summary FieldLink is hiring a Security Systems Superintendent for a 100% travel contract to hire opportunity supporting new construction hyperscale data center projects. This role leads field installation, quality control, technical execution, safety, and crew productivity for security, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related low voltage systems. Job Responsibilities
Lead field installation and technical execution for access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and security systems
Oversee multiple crews on active new construction data center jobsites
Ensure installations meet customer, manufacturer, IES, and company standards
Review engineered drawings, blueprints, installation plans, configurations, and as builts
Identify drawing discrepancies and ensure accurate redline documentation
Perform QA/QC inspections to verify installation quality and system functionality
Troubleshoot system issues involving devices, communication failures, network connectivity, RS232, RS485, Ethernet, and TCP/IP platforms
Manage project schedules, milestones, Client, materials, and field deliverables
Coordinate with clients, general contractors, inspectors, project managers, and internal teams
Serve as the primary onsite contact for project updates, issue resolution, and field coordination
Lead safety meetings, enforce site safety requirements, and maintain compliance with company and jobsite protocols
Complete required project documentation including timesheets, material transfers, change orders, tool logs, and closeout documents
Support process improvements related to scheduling, purchasing, estimating, reporting, and field workflow
Train and mentor technicians on proper installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and safety practices
Job Requirements
7 years of experience in security systems installation, access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, or low voltage systems
Proven experience managing large scale commercial, data center, mission critical, or new construction security projects
Experience leading field crews, assigning workload, enforcing safety, and driving productivity on active jobsites
Strong hands on experience installing, commissioning, configuring, and troubleshooting security systems
Knowledge of Bosch, Lenel, C Cure, Software House, Client/UTC, DSX, VideoIQ, EST, or similar platforms
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineered drawings, specifications, and as builts
Strong QA/QC background with the ability to inspect completed work and prevent installation issues
Experience interfacing with customers, general contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders
Proficiency with MS Office, MS Teams, Bluebeam, and Adobe
Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem solving skills
Ability to manage schedules, budgets, Client, materials, and field resources
High School Diploma or GED required
OSHA 10 preferred
Scissor lift and boom lift certification preferred
Hilti, fall protection, and confined space certifications preferred
Ability to work at heights, on ladders, on lifts, and in confined spaces
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 75 pounds
Must be able to stand and work on your feet for an entire shift
Must have basic hand tools and PPE required for security system installation
