Supply Chain Logistics Specialist (Pay-As-Built Suppliers)

The Supply Chain Logistics Specialist reports to the Modular Specialist and serves as the primary liaison between pay-as-built suppliers and assembly plants, ensuring accurate, timely communication and stable material delivery to support production schedules.

This role coordinates the delivery of materials and components, confirms supplier commitments aligning with plant requirements, and resolves logistics issues and discrepancies in partnership with supplier and plant teams. The specialist proactively identifies and mitigates potential delays or operational risks and supports continuous improvement by sharing insights and feedback between suppliers and the assembly plant.

Basic Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in one or combinations of the following: manufacturing operations, material flow, inventory management or supply chain management
  • Excellent organization, written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to coach/mentor/develop team members
  • Must be motivated, self-directed and must be able to demonstrate effective problem-solving skills
  • Must be willing to travel 20-40% of the time, (USA - Greater Detroit Area & Toledo)


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor 's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Packaging Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Business Advanced or Master 's degree preferred (Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Industrial Engineering)
  • Hands on experience with material flow/supply chain automotive experience
