Academic Advising (70%) * Guide students in major and career exploration.
* Support academic planning, course selection, and registration.
* Advise students about the University's academic policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.
* Provide referrals to appropriate campus resources.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date advising records.
* Engage students in regular meetings to provide support tailored to individual student needs.
* Collaborate with faculty and staff.
* Utilize technology and university software to support advising.
* Evaluate pre-licensure and accelerated
BSN admission applications.
* Ensure students have met graduation requirements prior to graduation.
Teaching (10%) * Teach
COAD 1000 - Student Development and Learning in Higher Education.
* Implement course objectives through effective design and teaching strategies.
* Develop a course syllabus to align with course goals and student needs.
* Provide students with timely and ample feedback on work submitted.
* Maintain organized and current course records.
Recruitment and Retention (15%) * Engage in recruitment efforts such as Open House, Admitted Student Day, and new student orientations.
* Meet with prospective students and families.
* Participate and contribute to retention strategies that will enhance student satisfaction, engagement, and success.
Develop and implement programming to facilitate student success and retention.
Other Duties as Assigned (5%) * Other duties may include: professional development, contribution and engagement on taskforce and committee work, projects related to initiatives for student success, retention, and graduation, and essential office needs.
