The Associate Manager - Sales serves as a leader for new sales, revenue generation, and promotion activity for our commercial customers. This role is responsible for development and implementation of programs and strategies that maximize the Company's market share through the acquisition, and growth of TDS business solutions. The position directs and manages a team of inside call center business-to-business solution sellers, with a primary objective of outbound selling into both wireline and cable business units to small and medium business accounts.The associate manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding budgeted sales goals/quotas, and spearheads market expansion and growth. Working directly with other leaders at TDS, the successful associate manager will ensure exceptional service for both internal and external customers by identifying opportunities to leverage TDS' full complement of solutions and technology offerings.

The successful candidate must be in an "always teaching" mode which includes on-the-job training, product knowledge, competitive analysis, technical knowledge, and interpersonal skills. The success of the sales team is dependent upon the leader's knowledge, commitment, and ability to communicate. This role must be able to win the confidence and trust of the team to ensure cohesiveness and consistency.

Shift: The scheduled shift for this position is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm CST.

*The Associate Manager - Sales is targeted to make $113,180+ per year (Base + Commission)*

This position has the ability to work remotely in any of the 40+ States in which TDS Telecom operates.



Responsibilities

    Lead a team of inside sales professionals and develop strategic and tactical sales plans to meet and exceed sales goals and quotas. Analyze market conditions and competitive positioning. Report activity and results on weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Be committed to providing the necessary combination of personal production and successful coaching of the entire sales team to achieve the objectives.
  • Manage and monitor team performance. This includes coaching, recruiting, and hiring sales professionals, onboarding, training, development, employee engagement, succession planning, performance evaluation, discipline, termination.
  • Manage and monitors market level success in fiber markets and creates/executes tactical sales plans to increase customer penetration rates. Monitoring daily tasks as well as executing plans to meet objectives and key results set for the team.
  • Build, maintain, and nurture excellent inter-department working relationships. This includes joining various projects and committees on behalf of the entire sales organization, meeting monthly with other managers from other departments to ensure the alignment of goals, meeting weekly with peers from all markets to review and discuss consistency of process and policies and provide feedback and direction sales managers, product management and development teams as needed.
  • Manage and ensure compliance with CRM utilization, contract negotiations, processing of sales orders, and policies and procedures. Tracks and maintains all work queues and incidents, web leads, rejects, tasks, and orders.
  • Perform other duties including department-wide assignments and special projects as required by the Regional Manager Sales/VP Sales.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree (or higher) -OR- 4+ years professional work experience.
  • 2+ years selling experience.
  • 2+ years of supervision, preferably in a call center or remote work environment.
