Garfield Park Behavioral Health Hospital meets the needs of our patients, their families and the community by delivering an all-encompassing psychiatric healthcare service that is both effective and efficient. Restoring the emotional well-being of our patients and giving them resources for their future is our primary commitment. Full time Tuesday - Saturday. Job Summary: The Phlebotomist is responsible for the proper collection and handling of specimens as appropriate for patients in the hospital and PHP location. The Phlebotomist is able to handle all areas of processes and procedures while maintaining a friendly and customer service approach with patients. Accurately and efficiently reports critical results and monitors incoming results from reference labs and logs/communicates results to providers. Candidates must be able to assist in and physical crisis intervention when necessary. Job Duties/Responsibilities:

Graduate of an accredited Phlebotomy Certificate program or Medical Assisting program required. At least 6 months of active phlebotomy and specimen collection experience is rstrongly preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification highly desired. LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification through National Healthcare Association (NHA).
