Sales Business Development Account Executive (New Business Focus)

Job Type: Remote Full-Time

The Business Development Account Executive is responsible for driving new business across both school and corporate markets by expanding market share through identifying, prospecting, and closing new customer opportunities within an assigned territory.

This is a hunter-focused role with a strong emphasis on outbound prospecting, pipeline development, and new account acquisition, while also retaining and growing existing assigned accounts.

The ideal candidate is highly motivated and results-driven, with a proven ability to generate leads, engage prospects, and close new business opportunities. They excel at cold outreach, consultative selling, and building relationships from the ground up. This individual is comfortable leveraging AI tools, conducting virtual presentations, and managing a high-volume prospecting pipeline.

Compensation: $50,000-$55,000 base salary plus bonus, incentives, and/or commission

Key Responsibilities



  • Present and sell EPI products and services to current and prospective customers
  • Actively prospect and generate new business through cold calling and outreach
  • Identify, develop, and close new sales opportunities
  • Maintain a minimum of 25 new prospecting activities per day and document all activity in Salesforce CRM
  • Conduct professional virtual presentations via Zoom for individuals and groups
  • Manage and grow assigned accounts while ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales documentation
  • Analyze customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Coordinate order processing, shipping schedules, and delivery logistics
  • Participate in local and regional trade shows, events, and conventions
  • Provide market feedback and insights to sales leadership
  • Maintain accurate reporting and pipeline management through CRM
  • Follow all company sales processes and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Additional Responsibilities



  • Participate in marketing initiatives such as seminars, trade shows, and telemarketing campaigns
  • Contribute to short- and long-term territory planning and business strategy


Qualifications & Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree and/or 3-5 years of sales experience
  • Proven ability to prospect, build pipelines, and meet or exceed sales targets
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with customers
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and general computer skills
  • Ability to travel within assigned territory; valid driver's license required
  • Experience in school fundraising, educational programs, or apparel/spirit wear sales is a plus
