NV5's Morristown office is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to support our site civil engineering practice. The selected candidate will work out of our Morristown, NJ office but may assist with work across the region developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a variety of land development projects including residential/mixed use developments, commercial/industrial development, electrical substations and stormwater management projects.

NV5's Morristown office operates on a four-day work week.



Responsibilities

The Senior Site Civil Engineer will be responsible for the oversight and delivery of projects primarily associated with stormwater management planning and design, site civil planning and design, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and any associated permitting. This may include:

    Development and oversight of design plans and details for stormwater management practices
  • Site grading, site and roadway layout, parking lot layout, park planning and design, lighting design and utility design associated with commercial, industrial developments, public facilities, and electrical substations.
  • Transportation aspects of projects including access, internal circulation such as AutoTURN, and parking lot maneuverability
  • Tributary drainage area analysis and sizing of stormwater management systems
  • Client and stakeholder coordination
  • Preparing permit packages
  • Preparing and reviewing technical reports (drainage reports, due diligence reports, technical memos and SWPPP's)
  • Cost Estimating
  • Construction Administration
  • A bachelor's degree in civil, environmental or water resources engineering
  • 7 - 15 years related experience
  • Strong understanding of AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D or Microstation
  • Experience with modeling software, such as AutoTURN, DiaLux Evo
  • Detailed oriented, excellent writing and communication skills


Qualifications

Certifications/Licenses:

  • PE required or ability to sit for the exam within 6 months.

The pay range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 per year.

Base pay offered for this role may vary and can be higher or lower depending on the candidate's job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base pay, this position may be eligible for a comprehensive range of medical, financial, and other benefits, depending on the role offered.
