CDL - Class B Driver Howell, NJ Pay: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour Work Schedule :Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM 26-05372 Job Summary The Class B Driver operates a 26ft automatic flatbed truck to deliver construction materials including pipe, fittings, fabric, and valves. This role is primarily driving-based and ensures safe, timely, and accurate deliveries while maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. When delivery volume is low, the driver may assist with general yard or warehouse duties. Job Responsibilities Operate a 26ft flatbed truck to deliver construction materials to customer sites Secure all loads properly to ensure safe transport and compliance with weight limits Load and unload materials safely, assisting customers or site personnel as needed Follow scheduled delivery times and validate route directions Obtain customer signatures and ensure delivery documentation is complete and accurate Communicate with supervisor throughout the workday regarding delivery status and issues Pick up customer returns and verify items for credit accuracy Handle local pickup orders and secure associated documentation Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections in compliance with DOT regulations Fuel vehicle as needed and report mechanical issues, violations, or incidents immediately Return all delivery paperwork to the warehouse and confirm accuracy and completeness Assist in warehouse or yard operations when not driving Maintain a professional appearance and provide strong customer service at all times Follow all company safety rules, DOT regulations, and operational policies Work overtime as required based on business needs Job Requirements Must be 21 years of age or older Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required Minimum 1 year of experience driving Class B vehicles Must hold required state-issued self-certification for non-excepted interstate driving Ability to safely operate flatbed trucks and secure construction materials Ability to follow DOT rules and complete required inspections and documentation Smartphone proficient (for communication and routing needs) Customer service oriented with professional communication skills Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM (30-minute unpaid lunch) Overtime may extend shifts to approximately 4:00-4:30 PM depending on business needs Work Environment Combination of driving, outdoor delivery sites, and warehouse/yard support Exposure to construction materials and varying weather conditions Safety-sensitive role with strict DOT and company compliance requirements About Equiliem Equiliem believes in empowering success.
