Jefferson County Public Health (JCPH) is seeking a progressive and innovative leader to serve as its next Environmental Public Health Director. The Environmental Public Health (EPH) Director is a key position in the JCPH management team and will work within the structure of JCPH under the Jefferson County Board of Health, the Health Officer, and the JCPH Director. EPH work is population-focused and requires professional knowledge, competencies, staff development, and ability to envision and plan for the future of Environmental Public Health as well as provide leadership both within the department and in the community. Education and/or Experience: Master's degree (M.A.) in Public Health, Environmental Science, Public or Business Administration, or related field; or combination of related undergraduate education and experience to equate to a master’s level degree; five years progressively responsible and relevant program management supervisory experience required, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Hours & Compensation: Exempt, full-time, 40/hours week. Salary range $8,461.95 to 10,407.14/month, DOE. This position is eligible for full medical benefits, including dental and vision coverage; retirement benefits through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS); 11 paid holidays annually; three personal (floating) days; personal time off accruing at an average rate of 21 to 33 days per year based on years of service; and bereavement leave.
