Mechanical Design Engineer - Fixture Design & FEA We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in fixture design and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to support advanced robotic systems. This role focuses on designing, analyzing, and validating mechanical fixtures to ensure reliable and efficient performance. Key Responsibilities * Design and develop mechanical fixtures for complex assemblies using CAD tools (SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, etc.) * Create detailed drawings and ensure designs meet functional and manufacturability requirements * Perform structural, thermal, and vibration analysis to validate and optimize designs * Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support system integration across cross-functional teams * Support testing and validation using lab instrumentation and data acquisition tools * Utilize basic scripting (Python or MATLAB) for data analysis and automation Required Qualifications * Proficiency in CAD for mechanical design * Strong working knowledge of FEA tools (ANSYS, SolidWorks Simulation, etc.) * Hands-on experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems * Familiarity with testing instrumentation and data analysis * Basic programming skills (Python or MATLAB) Preferred Qualifications * Understanding of electrical systems (circuits, wiring, power distribution) * Experience with modal analysis and vibration testing Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Westborough, MA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
