As a Security Officer for Logistics Yard in San Pedro, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help manage access control, monitor entry and exit activity, and support a professional, welcoming presence. This role involves observing assigned areas, responding to security-related concerns, and delivering strong customer service and communication. Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and visitor information, and document deliveries, pickups, and/or contractor activity in accordance with post instructions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and reporting unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location, including the business interior, exterior, gates, docks, and perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Help to deter unauthorized access by observing traffic at vehicle and pedestrian entrances, communicating clear directions, and supporting security-related procedures for employees, visitors, and/or vendors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Security-related experience of at least 1 year is required.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
