| Primary Purpose of the Organization: |
The
Division of Facilities Management functions are to design, construct, maintain and operate the physical facilities of the University. The number one objective of the department is to provide and maintain facilities that will enhance and support the mission and academic goals of the University. Our approach is centered upon providing a superior level of customer service. The primary responsibility of the organizational unit is providing cleaning, sanitizing and floor care to campus housing for approximately 1600 students. |
| Primary Purpose of the Position: |
The overall function of this position is to utilize a standard cleaning assignment to clean and sanitize an area of responsibility within a building. The position is also responsible for reporting discrepancies found within the building, in addition to responding to emergencies and inclement weather. The position will use standard housekeeping equipment to accomplish assigned tasks. Utilize standard housekeeping equipment, tools, and supplies to accomplish basic cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting, and replenishing. Remove recycling from centralized indoor recycling sites |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: |
High school diploma or equivalency.
Some knowledge of cleaning procedures, ability to follow instructions and to perform medium to heavy physical work, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
A valid driver's license. Must have an acceptable driving record, which may require up to five years of driving experience with no more than one minor fault accident or violation in the past three years. The University will review the driver's license and records periodically for compliance.

Minimum of one year of experience performing housekeeping duties in a university or commercial environment. |
