Summary: Join our skilled team and become part of the Carolina culture that is leading the way in our sleep disorders center. The Neurodiagnostic Techno II performs standard and complex neurodiagnostic tests and polysomnographic testing on patients in the Sleep Disorders Lab. Work may be performed in a lab or at patient bedside. At UNC Sleep Center, we have created a culture fostered through support, clinical structure, leadership and staff and patient centered care.

Responsibilities:
1. Performs diagnostic patient testing: polysomnographic testing with possible oxygen therapy and continuous positive air pressure treatments (CPAP).
2. Perform room and equipment set-up and placement in patient and hospital rooms. Calibrate and maintain equipment.
3. Reads and scores neurodiagnostic and/or polysomnographic tests.

4. 1. May provide instruction and guidance to other technologists in the Neurodiagnostic and/or Sleep Disorders Lab.
5. Takes patient history and Instructs patients and families on test preparation including pre and post-test interviews.

6. Diagnostic remote scoring opportunities available.

Education Requirements:
* Graduation from an acceptable program of Neurodiagnostics or acceptable pathway.
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
* Registered in one of the following specialty areas:
*Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT)
*Graduation from an accredited Neurodiagnostic 1-2-year academic program
Professional Experience Requirements:
* Completion of an acceptable program of Neurodiagnostics or acceptable pathway.-Willing to consider candidates with no experience to be hired at Neurodiagnostic Tech I level
