Sales Engineer (Florida & Georgia Territory)

The Sales Engineer is responsible for actively driving sales and business development, as well as formulating strategies to grow sales revenue, market share, and customer satisfaction within an assigned territory. The Sales Engineer will establish, maintain, and grow strong relationships throughout the sales cycle. This role serves customers by identifying their needs and engineering adaptations of products, equipment, and services.

The territory for this position includes parts of both Georgia and North Central Florida. Candidates must reside within the designated region to be considered.

This role operates within the industrial equipment and compressed air solutions industry, which supports a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, automotive, energy, and general industrial operations. Products such as air compressors, vacuum systems, blowers, and related equipment are critical to maintaining efficient, safe, and continuous production processes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Grow sales and customer base by strengthening relationships with existing customers
  • Establish new and service accounts by identifying potential customers and planning/organizing a sales call schedule
  • Analyze target accounts to develop penetration strategies that increase market share
  • Collaborate with Sales, Service, and Parts teams in a team-oriented environment
  • Provide product, service, technical, and engineering information by responding to inquiries and requests
  • Serve as a liaison and advocate between the customer and the organization; take ownership of creating highly satisfied customers
  • Contribute to sales effectiveness by identifying short- and long-term issues; recommending solutions and implementing action plans
  • Represent products to customers and at field events
  • Coordinate with branches to generate new sales, proposals, and resolve issues
  • Utilize CRM and reporting systems
  • Participate in formal and informal training opportunities


Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Knowledge of technical products, rotating equipment, air compression products, and their applications
  • Understanding of industrial distribution
  • Minimum of five years of relevant sales and/or sales management experience
  • Strong sales competency with the ability to overcome obstacles through creative and adaptive approaches; skilled in selling to customer needs
  • High level of analytical ability to solve human, technical, or administrative challenges
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently without close daily supervision
  • Strong time and territory management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including presentation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  • Commitment to a safety-first culture
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% for customer visits, meetings, and company-related functions
