Overview
VTG is seeking a DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining modern DevOps practices, infrastructure automation, and containerized application environments. The ideal candidate will leverage industry-leading DevOps tools and methodologies to streamline software delivery, improve system reliability, and enable scalable, secure, and efficient development workflows.
What will you do?
- Design, implement, and maintain DevOps pipelines and infrastructure to support software development and production environments.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Deploy, manage, and optimize containerized applications using technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Support development, testing, and production environments across secure and low-side networks, on-premises infrastructure, and AWS cloud services.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with software developers, system administrators, cybersecurity personnel, and project stakeholders to ensure reliable and secure application delivery.
- Implement DevSecOps best practices, including vulnerability management, security automation, and compliance requirements.
- Maintain and improve system documentation, operational procedures, and deployment standards.
- Evaluate and recommend new DevOps tools, technologies, and processes to enhance operational efficiency and scalability.
Do you have what it takes?
- Active TS/SCI W/ Polygraph required.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting DevOps practices and CI/CD automation.
- Proficiency with containerization technologies such as Docker and container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes.
- Experience with AWS cloud services and hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Proficiency with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of Linux administration, networking, and system troubleshooting.
