As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will perform a variety of diagnostic ultrasound procedures, ensure patient comfort and safety, and contribute to a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, and compassionate care. A typical day for an Ultrasound Technologist may include:
  • Performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with physician orders and departmental protocols
  • Preparing patients for procedures by explaining the examination process, answering questions, and ensuring patient comfort throughout the study
  • Operating and maintaining ultrasound equipment while ensuring optimal image quality and patient safety
  • Evaluating ultrasound images for technical quality and documenting findings for physician interpretation
  • Assisting physicians with ultrasound-guided procedures when appropriate
  • Maintaining accurate patient records and documenting examinations within the electronic medical record and PACS systems
  • Collaborating with radiologists, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure timely and accurate diagnostic services
  • Adhering to infection prevention, patient safety, and quality assurance standards while maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participating in continuing education and maintaining competency with evolving ultrasound technology and best practices
  • Contributing to a positive team environment focused on exceptional patient care and continuous improvement

To be considered for this Ultrasound Technologist opportunity:
  • You have successfully completed an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • You hold current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or are registry eligible, as required by the position.
  • Previous hospital or acute care ultrasound experience is preferred.
  • Experience performing a variety of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, or small parts imaging, is preferred based on departmental needs.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS certification is preferred or required based on department guidelines.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and organizational skills are essential to success in this role.
