Job Description:

Oversees and supports the specification, acquisition, operation and disposal of the system's fleet of motorized, licensed vehicles. Ensures system vehicles are used efficiently and effectively, and guards against waste in all areas of the fleet operation.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Vehicle control.
    • Designs and maintains a database that consolidates all pertinent vehicle data, fleet vendor information, vehicles in service, and vehicle donation management.
    • Designs and manages workflow processes necessary for the efficient operation of the fleet.
    • Maintains and monitors vehicle telematics system.
    • Negotiates vendor services, terms, and purchases.
    • Manages capital process flow for vehicle purchases.
    • Manages vehicle donation and disposal process, including Trade/Idle Equipment controls.
  • Fleet administration.
    • Prepares and submits monthly corporate capitalization reports, financial reports, and insured equipment reports.
    • Collects and analyzes vehicle accident data.
    • Creates and maintains required standard operating procedures.
    • Oversees billing for insurance costs, licensing, fuel charges, vehicle repairs and maintenance, and other applicable services.
    • Provides business units with applicable reports; including vehicle usage, driver performance, compliance, preventative maintenance, warranty campaign, and expense reports as needed.
  • Vehicle and driver regulation and compliance.
    • Ensures compliance with US Department of Transportation driver qualifications and documentation.
    • Ensures compliance with State and Federal vehicle regulations.
    • Obtains vehicle license registration and renews annually.
    • Audits and maintains vehicle titles and registrations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational degree in fleet management or related field, additional experience may be substituted for degree
  • 2+ years of experience in progressive fleet operations

Pay Range

Pay Range: $31.07 to $42.59 per hour The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
