Pittsburgh Glass Works, LLC. is seeking an organized and driven Training Specialistfor our Tipton, PA location. - Identify gaps related with performance, competence, and skills.
- Develops training plan for employees & administrative staff to comply with the competence required.
- In conjunction with operations and staff areas, generate company specific training programs to close the competency gaps.
- Conduct Train the Trainers Development Program.
- Coordinate Onboarding process
- Assure on the job training with qualified trainers in the process
- Apply Employees Qualification/Certification Program including knowledge and skills evaluation, supported with on the job and collaborative training.
- Implement and follow up of Training KPIs
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training on employees using individual or group performance results.
- Manage Training Budget
- Maintain updated training records and skills matrix.
- Coordinate and maintain up to date LMS (Learning Management System), training programs and materials.
- Support training and development requirements of the current 3rd. party and customer requirements, such as: ISO 9000, ISO-TS16949, ISO14001, ISO 28000 and ISO 35000.
- Coordinate the development of training materials using the Corporate guidelines.
- Apply effective learning methodologies to contribute to the planning requirements.
- Submit WEDNet grant requests annually.
- Supervise hourly Training Coordinator and Fork Truck Driver Trainer
- Occasional travel to other plants may be necessary (1-2 times per year). Availability to face-to-face with the off shift regularly is necessary.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Engineering, or other related field is required
- 3-5 years of experience in the automotive industry is desirable
- Must be strong in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Previous experience with Degreed and Udemy, or other LMS system a plus.
- Must manage multiple priorities and projects and report to management on progress
- Demonstrated leadership skills
