Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Total Rewards Analyst. The Total Rewards Analyst assists with the administration, design, and development of the company's total rewards program to support MHC's strategic priorities. Provides compensation administration regarding programs such as market reviews, compensation analysis, and rewards administration. In partnership with Benefit Specialists, provides benefit program administration in support of the company's health, welfare, retirement, and time off programs. Provides interpretation of program guidelines and rules to ensure regulatory compliance of all total rewards programs. Assists and/or leads approved project program implementations.

  • Assists with administration and communication of total rewards programs to includehealth and welfare benefits, retirement, paid time off and compensation programs thatare cost effective and consistent organizational objectives.
  • Assists and/or leads the project management of program implementations, includingrequests for proposal, program renewals, process updates, and implementation testing,communications and final roll-out.
  • Evaluates existing and proposed jobs to ensure proper benchmarking to align withmarket data and internal equity. Provides guidance to HR team members andleadership on pay decisions, policies, guidelines, and practices.
  • Assists in the review and recommendation of compensation offers, rates of pay, andbonus opportunities through collaboration with Talent Acquisition team, HR BusinessPartners, and management.Actively seeks market intelligence and industry specific datato inform appropriate solutions. Participates in compensation surveys and reviewscomparative market data to assist in making recommendations.
  • Assists in the target memo process, ensuring data is correct, appropriate scales are used, and memos are made available in the time frames needed for distribution. Follows up with managers on missing data and escalates new target memos and changes for approval by Human Resources and executive leadership.
  • Collaborates with HR Business Partners and company management in development andmodification of job descriptions. Conducts job analysis to determine pay grade and FLSAclassifications to ensure federal and state Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)requirements are met. Manages job code and job title assignments to ensureconsistency across the company.
  • Collaborates with HR team members, brokers, vendors, and service providers to ensureconsistent and accurate execution of program administration related to total rewardsprograms.
  • Prepares data, reports and insight into total rewards programs operations aneffectiveness. Analyzes the data against expectations and policies and reportsopportunities for improvement.
  • Provides support with annual enrollment process (development, communications, testingand roll-out), total rewards program evaluation, market surveys, compensation structuredevelopment and review as well as ensuring compliance with guidelines and plan rules.
  • Partner with HRIS to support total rewards initiatives including vendor integrations, filefeeds and automating manual processes to best serve our employees.
  • Provides support for leave of absence process and procedures, including the Family andMedical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans.
  • Conducts market research into market trends, best-in-class processes, develops, andrecommends possible total rewards solutions to support ongoing acquisition andretention strategies and ensure competitiveness with external organizations. Advisesother members of HR team on total rewards topics.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal, State, and municipalities regarding benefits,compensation and leave-related legislation and regulations.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Five or more years of progressive experience in compensation and benefits administration,
  • Proven critical thinking skills to create innovate solutions to solve problems -- translating business requirements into functional solutions.
  • Demonstrated successful history of leading projects and implementing programs.
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Proven diplomatic skills when working with various customers and peers to accomplish project goals - working effectively with multiple people, departments, across various levels within the organization.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including developing complex models; proficiency developing presentations.
  • Can work successfully both independently and within a team.
  • Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality and utilize appropriate tact and professionalism.
  • Sets priorities and work with minimal supervision.
  • Write and speak clearly, easily communicating and translating complex ideas to users.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the administration of rewards plans and programs.
  • Multi-state company experience desirable.
