Summary/Primary Purpose: To represent The Salvation Army by managing the maintenance of all Omaha North Corps properties and vehicles.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for maintenance of all Omaha North Corps properties. This would involve maintenance and repairs as well as the coordination of maintenance by other vendors/service providers.
  • Maintenance and oversight of Omaha North Corps vehicle This would be working with administration to ensure that all vehicles are kept up in a safe and efficient manner. This would include regular maintenance and necessary repairs.
  • Work with vendors/service providers to ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are on hand and available when necessary.
  • Coordinated the pickup of donations and supplies in collaboration with leadership.
  • Performing monthly inventory and ordering.
  • Coordinate and oversee volunteers assisting with building maintenance activities to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with organizational standards.
  • Stocking Supplies at the corps.
  • Responsible for Christmas Warehouse set-up and tear down. (Food box build and fill, toy transfer, and curtain set-up and tear down.
  • Pick up and deliver equipment necessary to different events in the Omaha North Corps (Kettle Stands, collection boxes, mail, etc)
  • Coordinate the setup and teardown of Corps rental spaces to ensure facilities are prepared, maintained, and restored according to organizational guidelines.



Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position is supervised by the General Manager and an assigned coordinator.

Each driver must perform their responsibilities within established policies and

guidelines.

Education and/or Experience:



  • A High School degree or GED is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working with the public desired.



Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the minimal knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.



  • Pass background and driving record check


Other Qualifications: Must pass all applicable background checks. Must possess a valid driver's license from the state in which you reside. Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to drive either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle on Salvation Army business. Must successfully complete Safe from Harm training within 90 days of hire, as established by The Salvation Army.

Working Conditions: The work environment is a business office setting with office equipment, light traffic and moderate noise levels.
