Overview

TRC is seeking a dynamic, highly motivatedAssociate Director to lead its Program Planning, Design and Operations teamto support the delivery of electrification and energy efficiency programs serving the residential (including low income), commercial and multifamily utility customer sectors in the PSEG Long Island service territory. The successful candidate will manage a team of about 19 full-time employees.


Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited:

  • Lead a team/manage staff that oversee all energy efficiency and electrification program design and planning activities for Commercial and Residential Programs.
  • Oversee the annual program evaluation cycle.
  • Collaborating with client and third-party evaluator to deliver near 100% Realization Rates.
  • Manager the Annual planning cycle and developing $50M+ annual budget.
  • Manage annual program launch process (application development, program documents, team training collateral).
  • Review and understand NYS Technical Resource Manual.
  • Participate in discussions with the New York State Joint Utilities.
  • Lead efforts for annual Utility 2.0 development and content creation.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies.
  • Develop white papers and industry article for publication in industry magazines and websites.
  • Manage relationships with key client personnel to cultivate trust.
  • Ensure client satisfaction is managed and expectations are met.
  • Research new measures and analyze for portfolio inclusion.
  • Prepare and present data to client and stakeholder teams.
  • Attend and present at industry events.
  • Oversee monthly KPI Scorecard Development and QA/QC.
  • Manage reporting cadence for internal reporting needs and stakeholder reporting needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree and 8+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and demonstrated work skills
  • Proficient in reading and understanding Technical Resource Manuals or similar documents
  • Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Strong skills in project management
  • Strong understanding of Energy Policy at the New York State level
  • Strong understanding of Residential and Commercial Energy Efficiency and Electrification measures
  • Aptitude for analyzing large datasets to present program recommendations
  • Demonstrated success in managing multimillion dollar budgets across EE/BE programs
  • Demonstrated success in client relations and presenting to internal and external stakeholders

Highly Competitive Applicants have:

  • Master's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining commercial customer, client, and vendor relationships with a high level of satisfaction.
  • Professional presence with desire to improve processes and exceed program goals.
  • Strong time management skills and a demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics or other related CRM software.
  • Aptitude for Microsoft software including SharePoint, Power BI, Co-Pilot or other AI software
Location and Office Requirements:
  • The TRC team supporting the PSEG Long Island Contract is located in Melville NY
  • The position will be primarily working from the TRC Melville office (generally 3 to 4 times per week) with the option of working remotely (generally 1 to 2 times per week)
  • The position has field responsibilities; the candidate must live in or near the service area (Long Island/Queens)

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation:Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $75,649.60 - USD $167,000.00 /Yr.
