Marketing Project Manager

Location: Culver City, CA (Hybrid)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Schedule: 40 hours/week

Pay is $76.10 per hour.


Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing Project Manager to support marketing initiatives for subscription-based digital services. This role is responsible for driving cross-functional marketing programs that connect product, customer growth, and user experience.

Working at the center of execution, you'll translate strategy into actionable project plans, align stakeholders across multiple business functions, and ensure marketing initiatives are delivered on time and with exceptional quality. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Responsibilities
Project Management

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of marketing initiatives from intake and planning through launch and post-project review.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, roadmaps, timelines, trackers, and production schedules.
  • Monitor project scope, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables to ensure successful execution.
  • Identify project risks early and proactively drive resolutions across stakeholders.
  • Manage changing priorities while keeping projects on schedule.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Analytics, Growth, Media, Creative, Editorial, and Finance teams.
  • Coordinate work across global teams operating in multiple time zones.
  • Facilitate alignment between stakeholders throughout all phases of project execution.
  • Build strong relationships that enable efficient collaboration and decision-making.

Marketing Operations

  • Support subscription growth initiatives, including lifecycle marketing, customer engagement, and campaign execution.
  • Assist with annual and quarterly marketing planning and forecasting activities.
  • Maintain project documentation, status reports, meeting notes, and executive updates.
  • Coordinate project kickoffs, status meetings, executive reviews, and post-project retrospectives.

Process Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, operational efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Help establish project management standards and best practices across marketing teams.
  • Partner with fellow project managers to refine tracking methods, reporting, and operational processes.
  • Exercise sound judgment when managing confidential projects and sensitive information.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in project management, program management, marketing operations, product marketing, or growth marketing.
  • Proven success leading complex, cross-functional initiatives involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
  • Experience developing project plans, timelines, trackers, and status reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in fast-paced, evolving environments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to proactively manage risks and dependencies.
  • Experience using project management and collaboration platforms such as Airtable, Wrike, Workfront, or similar tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting subscription-based products or digital services.
  • Familiarity with lifecycle marketing, customer engagement, or multi-channel marketing campaigns.
  • Experience collaborating across marketing, product, analytics, creative, and business teams.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey strategy and engagement.
  • Ability to influence cross-functional partners without direct authority.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and operational excellence.
  • Passion for improving processes and driving organizational efficiency.
  • Experience handling confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
