Job Description

A key advisor to the Regional CFO, Geography and Function Heads to facilitate delivery of the financial targets in the Budget as well as delivery of long-term growth targets. Accountable for the delivery of commercially focused financial support including financial analysis, pricing and overall investments.

The role is responsible for creating and maintaining a high standard of financial discipline, business decision support, and accountability within the region, including the management and coordination of revenue budgets, forecasts & multi-year plan, monthly financial close, and monthly financial reports. The role is also expected to constantly enhance processes and procedures and challenge business owners to continuously drive efficiency, and cost savings. In this role, The VP is required to continuously balance risk mitigation with operational efficiency and effectiveness and support strategy formulation and execution. The VP will serve as a member of the LAC Finance leadership team and will work closely with the LAC Executive Leadership team.

Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Provide strong financial thought leadership as it relates to growth strategies, current performance, sales, marketing and product initiatives, as well as pricing and investment impacts
  • Oversee and suggest the optimal resources allocations (People and funds) to deliver on financial targets while balancing short term results with long-term strategies
  • Ensure that the Regional President, Regional CFO and other functional leaders are regularly updated on financial performance
  • Provide insights into key variances and business trends and identify risk and opportunities (plus mitigating actions) to ensure delivery on targets
  • Lead the multi-year planning, annual budgeting and forecasting processes for Revenues, Client Incentives and Operating Expenses. Coordinate inputs from the geographies and functions for both Revenues and costs, plus lead the review and challenge process
  • Provide people leadership for the Regional FP&A team by promoting Visa Leadership principles and continuously improve the team's engagement and leadership index

Constant Enhancement:

The VP will be responsible for continually proposing ideas to improve local, regional and even global process, tools and frameworks, driving improved finance operations. This includes:

  • Collaborating with various stakeholders such as IT, Business and Control functions to implement and maintain streamlined and simplified tools and processes with defined service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Serving as the business owner responsible for driving the financial systems implementation and enhancements in the region

Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
*12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 10 years of experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 8 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

*15 or more years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, PhD).
*Mastery in Finance, financial reporting & analysis, revenue, forecasting, financial modeling
*Electronic Payments industry experience, knowledge of Visa business and revenue streams
*User knowledge of TM1 and Hyperion
*Practical knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
*Fluent in English and Spanish, Portuguese is an advantage
*Outstanding analytical and quantitative skills, can-do attitude to resolve tough business problems with well-structured analyses
*Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to clearly communicate results with senior level executives and able to influence decision making
*Able to work cross functionally, geographically and with virtual teams while promoting a culture of openness, trust and flexibility
*Must be proactive, high-energy, motivated team player capable of delivering on multiple initiatives on tight timelines and enjoy a fast-paced and dynamic environment

Leadership skills:
The candidate must have advanced people management skills and a proven authentic leader who is able to:
*Demonstrate strong thought leadership within the Finance function for the Leadership Team within the region
*Develop a strong, transparent relationship with the regional Leadership Team
*Bring the other teams within Finance into alignment to deliver cohesive services from the larger function within region
*Drive a solutions mindset with other leaders within the function, fostering partnerships with a focus on efficiency and execution

The estimated salary range for this positionis $216,300.00 to $ 378,600.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements

This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
