Scope:

The Facilities Plumber is responsible for supporting the maintenance, repair, installation, and improvement of facility plumbing systems and related building infrastructure within a manufacturing environment. This position performs preventive maintenance on plumbing, water, air, ventilation, and related facility systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations. The role works as part of the facilities maintenance team and may assist with general building maintenance, equipment repair, light mechanical work, and special projects as needed. The Facilities Plumber will interact with internal departments, outside contractors, and vendors to resolve facility issues and maintain acceptable operating conditions throughout the plant.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain plumbing systems, including water, air, drain, and ventilation lines.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on facility plumbing systems, equipment, and related infrastructure.
  • Respond to maintenance requests involving plumbing, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and general facility systems.
  • Assist with troubleshooting facility equipment, process-related systems, and building infrastructure issues.
  • Identify plumbing or facility issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements.
  • Perform light repairs and maintenance on facility equipment, fixtures, and building components.
  • Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, diagrams, mechanical drawings, and plumbing layouts.
  • Complete assigned facilities projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and equipment information.
  • Help maintain inventory of spare parts, plumbing supplies, tools, and maintenance materials.
  • Perform routine building maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, minor carpentry, grounds maintenance, and housekeeping as needed.
  • Support emergency maintenance tasks, including weather-related or urgent facility repairs.
  • Communicate effectively with internal customers, engineers, associates, vendors, and contractors.
  • Follow all company safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and applicable plumbing codes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, including water, air, drain, and ventilation piping.
  • Knowledge of plumbing codes, requirements, safe work practices, and applicable regulations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing and basic electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, measuring devices, pipe fitting tools, and related maintenance equipment.
  • Ability to read and follow technical operating manuals, schematics, diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Basic understanding of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, HVAC, mechanical, and general facility maintenance systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work assignments and manage a maintenance backlog.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Team-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels, including associates, engineers, supervisors, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stand or walk for extended periods, and lift or move heavy materials on a regular basis.
  • Commitment to safety, quality, housekeeping, and continuous improvement.

Education and Experience Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Journeyman Plumbing License or equivalent plumbing certification/qualification.
  • 3-5 years of related experience in plumbing, facilities maintenance, industrial maintenance, or a similar role.
  • Working knowledge of plumbing systems, mechanical systems, and facility repair practices.
  • Ability to read mechanical and plumbing drawings.
  • Valid driver's license and good driving record, if company vehicle operation is required.

Preferred:

  • Associate degree, trade school certification, license, or formal technical training in plumbing, mechanical systems, or facilities maintenance.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.

TTM offers a variety of health and well-being benefit programs. Benefits are available on the 1st of the month following date of hire. For some positions, only PTO and holiday benefits are offered.

Compensation ranges for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TTM Technologies, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on each individual set of circumstances. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

$63,692 - $106,154

Additional compensation: An annual or quarterly company bonus may apply based on position assignment. Positions hired for alternative shift may be eligible for a shift premium based on the assigned shift and location.
