ChristianaCare is seeking a dedicated and service-orientedEnvironmental Services Assistant Ito help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and staff at the Union Campus. Status: Full-Time (40 hours/week) Location:Christiana Hospital - Newark Campus Shift:Day Shift; 7:00am - 3:30pm Schedule:Every other weekend & holiday rotation required What You'll Do: Clean and sanitize patient rooms, offices, and common areas following infection control protocols. Maintain carts and equipment in a clean, safe, and orderly condition. Restock supplies such as paper products and soap throughout the facility. Safely remove trash, soiled linens, and used equipment from designated areas. Respond promptly to Environmental Services calls and texts using provided smart devices. Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to supervisors. Attend regular training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices. Uphold a courteous and helpful attitude throughout your shift. What You'll Bring: High school diploma preferred. Two years of customer service experience preferred. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Strong attention to hygiene, safety, and confidentiality. Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the shift. Comfort using smart devices for work assignments. Working Conditions: Potential exposure to infectious diseases (with proper precautions). Safety glasses required at all times. Why ChristianaCare? After six months of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $20.34 per hour. After one year of continuous employment, the hourly rate will automatically increase to $21.34 per hour. This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
