Description
Position Overview
A successful candidate will provide engineering support for electrical, instrumentation and control applications for all paper mill operations. The successful candidate will gain exposure to process control systems, power distribution systems and EI&C-related equipment, along with gaining engineering experience in an industrial maintenance setting.

Responsibilities

* Assisting EI&C Department Engineers in assigned tasks
* Creating value-added changes in the Distributed Control System (DCS) and PLC programming
* Field data gathering, inventory management analysis, and documentation streamlining
* Maintaining/updating drawings and equipment files
* Supervising project-related items and equipment/parts installations
* Meeting with contractors, vendors, engineers, etc.


Qualifications

* Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field of study from an accredited institution
* Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to effectively deliver and reinforce consistent messages at multiple levels
* Strong team player who can effectively work with others to meet objectives and timelines
* Must be willing to work in dirty, noisy, hot, humid environments
* Ability to work with plant personnel and engineering groups to ensure the proper execution of work
* Prioritization of time and work
* Use of self-initiative and independence to complete tasks with urgency and meet deadlines

This co-op position is available for the Spring-Summer 2027 or Summer-Fall 2027 semester. Hours are M-F 7A - 3P.
