At FSB Architects + Engineers, an affiliate of Collier's Engineering & Design, we believe our greatest projects begin with lasting relationships. For decades, we've partnered with clients to solve complex challenges, deliver exceptional design solutions, and create spaces that strengthen communities. Our success is built on trust, collaboration, and a commitment to delivering value far beyond a single project.

We're seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of architecture and engineering projects within our Aviation and Mission Critical markets. This position will manage a diverse portfolio that may include complex aviation facilities as well as local, smaller-scale, and fast-moving mission critical projects supporting healthcare, research and technology, government, public safety, transportation, and other infrastructure-intensive environments. The Project Manager will oversee projects from planning through construction, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and build strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders.

This role will work closely with Aviation and Mission Critical Market Sector Principals to strengthen client relationships, identify opportunities for continued partnership, and support long-term client success through exceptional project delivery. The position will also provide guidance and support to less experienced Project Managers and project team members.

If you're passionate about leading high-performing teams, delivering exceptional projects, and building trusted client relationships that create lasting partnerships, we'd love to connect with you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning and execution of architecture and engineering projects within the Aviation and Mission Critical markets through all phases, ensuring successful delivery of scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
  • Manage a varied portfolio that may include large, complex aviation projects as well as smaller-scale, locally focused mission critical projects with accelerated schedules and specialized operational requirements.
  • Manage local and regional Mission Critical projects supporting healthcare, research and technology, government, public safety, transportation, and other clients whose facilities require operational continuity, system reliability, security, or specialized infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement Project Strategic Plans aligned with client objectives and Aviation and Mission Critical market sector goals.
  • Serve as the primary client contact, building trusted relationships through proactive communication, responsiveness, and exceptional service.
  • Prepare and negotiate scopes of work, fee proposals, contracts, and consultant agreements.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams by coordinating internal staff, consultants, contractors, and other project partners.
  • Balance multiple concurrent projects while establishing priorities, maintaining schedules, and ensuring consistent communication across project teams.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, profitability, invoicing, quality, and risk, proactively addressing issues and implementing recovery plans when needed.
  • Coordinate projects involving secure, operationally sensitive, technology-intensive, or continuously occupied facilities.
  • Communicate project status, priorities, resource needs, and strategic direction with Market Sector Principals, Discipline Directors, and firm leadership.
  • Provide oversight, mentoring, and support to less experienced Project Managers and project team members while fostering collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Serve as a key contributor to business development and pursuit activities within the Aviation and Mission Critical markets, including proposal strategy, scope and fee development, interview preparation, and client presentations.
  • Build and strengthen client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor and identifying opportunities to add value throughout project delivery.
  • Partner with Market Sector Principals to expand existing client relationships, identify project opportunities, and contribute project delivery insight to pursuit strategy.
  • Participate in and, when assigned, lead client meetings, presentations, interviews, and business development activities supporting client retention, repeat work, and continued partnership.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or another closely related field.
  • Professional licensure preferred. Candidates who are not licensed must hold a PMP or equivalent project management certification.
  • 7+ years of experience leading architectural and engineering projects and multidisciplinary teams, including at least five years of project management experience.
  • Experience managing aviation, mission critical, healthcare, technology-intensive, secure, or other complex facility projects preferred.
  • Experience managing projects of varying sizes, scopes, and schedules, including multiple concurrent projects.
  • Familiarity with aviation facilities such as airports, terminals, hangars, maintenance facilities, support buildings, or related infrastructure is preferred.
  • Experience managing mission critical projects within healthcare, research and technology, government, public safety, transportation, data center, or other infrastructure-intensive environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated success developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, contracts, scheduling, resource planning, consultant coordination, risk management, and quality management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, organization, and presentation skills.
  • Business development and client account management experience within the Aviation or Mission Critical markets preferred.

Work Arrangement & Travel

  • This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Oklahoma City, Tulsa, or Dallas office.
  • Travel may be required to support client meetings, project site visits, construction observation, project coordination meetings, business development activities, and industry conferences.
  • Travel frequency will vary based on project assignments, with many of the position's Mission Critical projects concentrated in the local and regional market.
