Per Diem - Join a mission-driven, multidisciplinary team at MaineHealth Behavioral Health (MHBH) as an Outpatient Psychiatristwith our PHP Team in Brunswick, Maine.

MaineHealth Behavioral Health provides behavioral health partial hospitalization services for people who are too ill to attend traditional outpatient therapy, but do not require hospitalization. Often, partial hospitalization services help patients transition back into the community after a psychiatric hospitalization.

The partial hospitalization program (PHP) bridges the gap between hospital and community programs. It provides an alternative to hospitalization for people who require more intensive treatment than outpatient office visits, but less than 24-hour inpatient care.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of Allopathic or Osteopathic Medical School. Completion of internship and psychiatric residency and/or fellowship training.
  • Current or eligible licensure as a physician by the Maine Board of Licensure in Medicine.
  • Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology or be eligible for examination by the American Board as documented by written evidence.
  • Board Certified or board eligible in general psychiatry.
  • Current DEA Registration Certificate.
  • 3+ years' experience inclusive residency and/or fellowship training.
  • Meet other credentialing criteria defined in Medical Staff By-laws

The pay range for this position is $145.00 to $205.00 per hour and may qualify for shift differentials based on eligibility.
