What You'll Do
- Translate complex design intentions into technical products, including templates and themes, across various applications.
- Apply impeccable production skills in layout, typography, and color to ensure visual fidelity and consistency.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Human Interface teams to create new design templates, adhering to established technical methods and conducting thorough testing.
- Conduct comprehensive audits of template features, functions, imagery, and placeholder text, identifying and resolving discrepancies between design goals and production realities.
- Perform user experience (UX) testing on new templates and sample documents to ensure optimal end-user interaction.
- Execute internal Quality Assurance to guarantee content integrates seamlessly into builds without introducing bugs.
- Partner with Engineering, Design, and Human Interface teams throughout the new feature development lifecycle, providing content creation flexibility in parallel with feature development.
- Inform Engineering teams regarding content creation, import processes, and dependencies.
- Manage version control systems, including checking out repositories, committing changes to content and import-generated files, and resolving conflicts.
- Utilize Terminal for version control management, tracking file changes for bug investigations, and ensuring efficient workflow.
- Deploy updated Engineering requirements, create Pull Requests for multiple repository check-ins, and manage workflow impact.
- Collaborate with Engineering teams to define, test, and refine new processes and tool improvements.
- Investigate and diagnose issues within applications and content using internal issue tracking systems, communicating findings and proposed fixes efficiently and effectively.
- Work closely with Design teams on bug fixes, ensuring alignment with template design and layout adjustments.
- Communicate proactively with Engineering regarding necessary tool updates in response to bug fixes, feature additions, or process enhancements.
- Consider localization impacts in new template designs and collaboratively resolve localization bugs to maintain design integrity and functionality across regions.
What You'll Bring Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a production or content engineering role (this is not an entry-level position).
- Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for recognizing inconsistencies.
- Highly organized with the ability to manage several multi-layered files and a variety of applications efficiently.
- A deep appreciation for finding simple, elegant solutions to complex technical and design challenges.
- Comfortable working in a rapid iteration environment, adapting to fast-paced changes.
- Systematic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities, capable of handling tedious tasks.
- Proficiency in leading presentation, document, and spreadsheet applications.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
- Understanding of version control systems like GitHub and command-line interfaces such as Terminal.
- Experience with internal issue tracking platforms.
- Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
