General Role Description
- Supports the execution of Trade and Distribution activities for Syneos Full Service Commercial opportunities
- Prepares the client organization for the requirements of distributing its product (often small to mid-sized Pharma and Biotech clients with their first product in the US market)
- Syneos Trade and Distribution Associate Director will assist in the execution, tracking, and communication of assigned distribution activities on behalf of clients and is an integral part of the full-service commercial plan we offer.
- Along with the FSC Trade and Distribution Sr. Director, this role can also provide oversight into all areas along this trade and distribution continuum (manufacturing, packaging, distribution) to ensure the proper steps are taken and at the right time.
Specific Functions
- Support of the Trade and Distribution Strategy
- Help identify the key success factors to maximize product and minimize administrative barriers to appropriate use
- Definition of services required by distribution partners organized into service model distribution flows
- Engage in Trade Partner Selection and onboarding of 3PL, WS, Specialty Distributors, Specialty Pharmacy as requested.
Trade Management Operations
- Work with the FSC Trade and Distribution Sr. Director to define roadmap of activities needed for 'day-1' distribution readiness
- Day- to- day support of the execution in the trade and distribution space
- Onboarding of selected 3PL, SP, SD
- Work through all open issues related to contracting and WS Distribution Service Agreements (approvals, red-lines, follow-ups with SPs, SDs)
- Execute the submission of State Licenses on behalf of the client company and, as necessary, help to set up a 3PL title model and eventually transition away from that model when timing aligns
- Provide issue resolution for any open items involved in ensuring the 3PL booking of sale (order to cash) is integrated into the client's financial systems and reporting needs established
- As needed, assist the FSC Trade and Distribution Sr Director with Importation Support (customs broker and importation process set-up, typically facilitated by the 3PL)
- Filing State distribution registration/licenses as needed
- Develop initial forecasts for Demand Planning under the direction of the FSC Trade and Distribution Sr Director
- Submits HDA forms, as required
- Submits registrations for Inclusion in National Formularies
- Execute the Price compendia submissions under the direction of the FSC Trade and Distribution Sr Director
- Assist in the establishment of EDI Monitoring of channels upon launch
- Provide an interface as needed with the selected Government Price Reporting partner, rebate/chargeback partner, and help support the selection, onboarding, and vender management
Specific Trade Experience:
- Minimum of 5-7 years in Pharma/BioTech Industry with a minimum of 3 years supporting the Trade and Distribution area
- Big Pharma and/or small Pharma operational experience (not just strategy)
- Trade and Distribution experience launching products in various settings (institutional in-patient /outpatient, specialty, retail) with limited or broad distribution networks
- Third party Contract experience desirable
The annual base salary for this position ranges from $X to $Y. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role. In addition, some positions may include eligibility to earn commissions/bonus based on company and / or individual performance.
