Industrial Painter - 2nd Shift |$1,000 Sign-On Bonus | Tulsa, OK Wedlake is seeking experienced Industrial Painters to join our growing manufacturing team on 2nd Shift. This position plays a critical role in delivering high-quality finishes on metal components and assemblies while supporting production schedules, safety standards, and customer expectations. Industrial painting experience is required. Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, heavy industrial, or similar production environments is highly valued. Schedule: Full-Time 2nd Shift Overtime available based on production needs. What You'll Do Prepare metal surfaces through grinding, sanding, masking, and cleaning. Mix and apply paints and coatings to specifications and production requirements. Operate spray equipment for smooth, consistent finishes. Inspect finished work for quality and correct defects as needed. Operate and maintain painting equipment safely and efficiently. Follow all safety procedures, including respirator and PPE requirements. Work closely with production, fabrication, and quality teams to meet customer expectations and production schedules. What We're Looking For Required Qualifications: 3-5 years of industrial painting experience. Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, heavy industrial or similar production environments preferred. Strong attention to detail and finish quality. Ability to pass a respirator fit test and pulmonary evaluation. Willingness to work overtime as needed. Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screening. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with HVLP, electrostatic, or pressure-pot spray systems. Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and coating specifications. Experience in structural steel, heavy fabrication, enclosure manufacturing, or similar industries. Knowledge of dry film thickness (DFT) requirements and coating defect troubleshooting Why Join Wedlake? Ability to work in varying temperatures and around paint fumes, dust, and odors while wearing required PPE. Work Environment Manufacturing paint shop environment. Exposure to industrial equipment, material handling equipment, noise, and production activity. Required use of safety glasses, respirators, hearing protection, and other PPE as needed.
