As aGeomatics Team Lead, this is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, motivated land surveyor who thrives in a collaborative team environment. The role highlights a customer-focused mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional quality and results on every project.

In this capacity, the successful candidate willbe responsible forthe following:

  • Understanding ofall field and office survey operations.
  • Organize technical production and direct field work.
  • Uphold quality control and assurance.
  • Maintain communication with clients,leadershipand staff.
  • Meet schedules and budgets while providing responsive service to the client.
  • Perform boundary research of maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records.
  • Preparemetesand bounds descriptions and parcelplats.
  • Complete GDOT survey deliverables per the GDOT Survey Manual and EDG.
  • Researchprevioussurvey evidence, maps, deeds, physical evidence, and other records to obtain data needed for various surveys including control, topographic, bathymetric, engineering,alignmentand right-of-way.
  • Coordinate projects with clients, staff, engineering and architectural personnel, and other stakeholders.
  • Determinemethods and procedures forestablishingor reestablishing survey control.
  • Ability to apply techniques and methods to obtain desired accuracy and information.
  • Maintain project database by using computer programs; entering and backing up data.
  • Show consistent exercise of initiative and independent judgment in work assignments.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge.
  • Participate in professional societies and practice communities.
  • Ability to work with and mentor people.
  • May supervise the activities of a single or multiple survey fieldcrewsand provide training to staff.
Education | Experience:

Whatyou'llbring to our firm:

  • 7+ years of experience as a land surveyor.
  • Experience with preparation of boundary research and calculations, topographic surveys, project control, metes and bounds descriptions and general survey support for engineering design projects.
  • Experience managing office and field survey personnel with the ability toidentifywork priorities and functions.
  • Excellent math,oraland written communication skills.
  • Strongdetail-oriented work style.
  • Experience prioritizing and managing multiple projects with schedule and budget constraints.
  • Professional attitude andableto communicate with all levels of personnel.
  • Must havevaliddriver's license andcleandriving record.

What we prefer you bring:

  • Georgia resident.
  • Experience with survey software (Leica, Trimble, Carlson Survey, Civil3D, MicroStation,InRoads, andOpenRoads).
  • Ability to work in an environment with changing priorities and work locations.
  • Flexibleto workovertime.
  • Experience with the following projects:
  • GDOT right-of-way mapping
  • Boundary/Topo
  • Transportation/Bridges
  • Preparation of Right-of-Way Acquisitions and Easements
  • ALTA/ACSM (NSPS) Land Title Surveys
  • Construction Layout

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $95,000-$135,000.

Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
