Your Role

As a Senior Project Architect, you will lead the design and technical execution of Core & Shell and Base Building projects from pursuit through construction administration. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and consultants to deliver innovative, high-quality design solutions while mentoring emerging professionals and contributing to our office culture.

What You Will Do

  • Lead large and/or multiple Core & Shell projects from concept design through construction administration
  • Collaborate with design leadership to develop and implement innovative, technically sound design solutions
  • Build and manage relationships with clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, and regulatory agencies
  • Direct project teams and coordinate consultants to ensure successful delivery across all project phases
  • Oversee the production of high-quality project deliverables, including construction documents and specifications
  • Resolve complex design and technical challenges while balancing constructability, quality, schedule, and cost
  • Leverage market knowledge and industry relationships to support strategic pursuits
  • Mentor and develop team members, foster collaboration, professional growth, and design excellence. Support office initiatives and represent Gensler through active engagement in industry and community organizations

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited program
  • 10-15+ years of architectural experience with a strong focus on Core & Shell, Base Building, and renovation projects
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams and directing projects through all phases of design and construction, with strong communication, collaboration, organizational, and client management skills
  • Strong technical expertise in building systems, structural coordination, and construction detailing, with demonstrated experience navigating zoning, entitlement, permitting, code compliance, and regulatory approval processes across multiple jurisdictions and AHJs
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Licensed/Registered Architect required

  • Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, Miro, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Teams required
  • Experience with SketchUp, Enscape, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3ds Max preferred
  • Experience with sustainable design and certification programs such as LEED, WELL, Fitwel, Living Building Challenge, or Net Zero preferred
