Position Title: Machine Shop Operator
Wage: $18.45 - $20.19/hour (Plus Piece Rate) Shift: 1st (For 90 Days, Switch to Off-Shift Upon Hire) Hours: 5:00am - 3:00pm (Monday - Friday), Overtime 5:00am - 10:00am (Saturday) Responsibilities: - Operate CNC latches, CNC mills, and various machines in machine shop - Inspection of parts, to help with the efficiency of production - Work from part drawings, specification and machine shop instructions Requirements: - Ability to adapt to new equipment, technology and workspace - Ability to see quality flaws and problems - Excellent communication skills - Quick learner, eager to further knowledge and skills - Responsible, dependable, punctual and accountable - Strong attention to detail and safety standards Please be prepared for our AI recruiter to ask these mandatory questions: - Can you tell me about your experience operating CNC machines, mills, lathes, or other machine-shop equipment? Can you give me an example of how you have followed safety procedures while working around machinery or in an industrial environment? - This position requires standing for up to 8 hours and regularly handling parts weighing up to 20 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 50 pounds. Are you comfortable performing these physical requirements throughout your shift? - Tell me about a time you had to learn a new machine, process, or piece of equipment.
