Position Title: Class A CDL Driver
Wage: $60,000/year Shift: 1st Hours: 6:00am - 3:00pm QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Class A CDL Driver at a company in Sheboygan, WI. This is a direct hire position. Dependable and customer-focused Class A CDL drivers will deliver roof and floor trusses to sites throughout Wisconsin and Illinois. This role requires a safety-first mindset and the ability to work independently while positively representing the company throughout delivery processes. This role requires flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to assist with load handling and jobsite delivery activities. Class A CDL Driver Responsibilities: - Safely transporting and delivering trusses to customer jobsites throughout Wisconsin and Illinois (including Chicago area) - Conducting thorough pre- and post-trip inspections and maintaining all required DOT documentation - Securing loads using proper banding and tie-down procedures - Operating banding equipment and utilizing hand tools as needed - Communicating professionally with customers, contractors, and team members - Following all company and DOT regulations - Assisting with unloading and delivery related tasks as required - Maintaining clean and professional appearance of company equipment Requirements for Class A CDL Driver: - Valid Class A&B CDL required - 1+ years of experience required - Ability to frequently lift, carry, push, and pull materials and equipment - Working knowledge of hand tools and banding equipment - Ability to navigate jobsites and roadways safely - Ability to climb, bend, and work in varying weather conditions - Exceptional customer service skills Additional Information: - Usually transporting 2 loads a day - furthest destination being first completed - Drivers will be home every day - Shifts usually between 8 - 10 hours; start and end times can vary depending on destination(s) - Competitive benefits and bonus potential QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
