Position Title: Machine Operator
Wage: $17.60-$19.60/hour Shift: 1st, 2nd, 3rd Hours: (1st Shift) 6:00am-2:00pm, (2nd Shift) 2:00pm-10:00pm, (3rd Shift) 10:00pm-6:00am QPS Employment Group is hiring Machine Operators in Loves Park, IL. Machine Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Review daily schedule with supervisors/leads - Obtain batch sheets/formula sheets and process check sheets from Supervisor - Obtain ingredients/labels/materials per batchsheet/formula specifications - Verify that all obtained materials/ingredients match items listed on batch sheet - Inspect the appropriate production equipment for cleanliness, allergen issues and foreign objects and material - Complete machinery setup/shutdown process for specific operation of equipment to the batch sheet - Mix/cook batches or wraps product to specifications as per formula in batch sheet - Monitor equipment throughout production run to ensure operation is within process parameters - Perform and maintain quality inspections and checks - Communicate and work cooperatively with co-workers - Perform daily housekeeping chores - Maintain a clean, dry, and safe working environment by consistently adhering to good housekeeping practices - Work safely and perform daily safety checks on all equipment - Perform calculations for partial formulas, ingredient and materials usage and waste recording - Recognize and report food safety and employee safety issues - Perform changeovers with adherence to Food Safety and Good Manufacturing Practices - Rotate into Packer position to perform Packer duties as business/operational needs Machine Operator Requirements: - Accuracy and attention to detail are critical - Ability to work in a loud work environment - Must be able to communicate effectively with all operators and supervisors and work within established procedures and guidelines for safe and efficient operations - Operators will be exposed to heavy machinery, heat, humidity and strenuous work - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that involves a considerable amount of climbing, lifting and reaching - This position requires weekend work and work in excess of eight hours per day QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
