Territory Manager, Northeast Pennsylvania

As a Territory Manager,you are responsible to deliver specific sales and service provision targets in line with Regional, Zone, and National targets. Reporting directly to the Regional Sales Leader, you will develop and grow the Northeast Pennsylvania (Scranton/Wilkes Barre) market, provide information and market data to ensure effective delivery of the overall business targets. We are looking for candidates with an understanding of the collision body shop and refinish market, manufacturing coating systems and related materials used in refinishing applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve annual sales plans for sales growth and key sales objectives while leading costs, receivables, and expenses within required targets.

  • Develop a detailed understanding of end customer requirements and the PPG business strategy and challenges associated with the region.

  • Responsible for the sales of paint systems and sundry items of PPG Refinish brands including commercial and light industrial (CPC) finishes in his/her geographic area of responsibility thru distribution.

  • Manage distributor relationships including sales, people development, training, receivables, etc.

  • In-depth knowledge of body shop/fleet operations with the ability to help in areas of profitability, cycle time, product training, and the use of analytics.

  • Target and develop relationships with key dealer, Regional MSO, and independent collision center operations.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.

  • Work within a team atmosphere to develop the market as a whole and maximize potential.

  • Expected overnight travel of 25%.

  • Through PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program, you'll have the flexibility to drive your own vehicle while receiving tax-advantaged reimbursement for fuel, insurance, and other eligible business-related vehicle expenses. The program is designed to provide a convenient, cost-effective alternative to a company vehicle while giving you greater choice and flexibility.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years proven track record in growing sales with validated skills at consultative selling.

  • Prior Automotive Refinish or equivalent experience preferred.

  • Must possess a valid driver's license, maintain automobile insurance, have access to a personal vehicle that meets PPG's Fixed and Variable Rate (FAVR) program requirements, and successfully pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
