TITLE: Quantitative Risk Analyst, Global Portfolio Risk Analytics EMPLOYER: AES Clean Energy Services, LLC LOCATION: 1201 Fannin Street, Suite 500, Houston, TX, 77002 (Hybrid position; at least 3 days per week in office) DUTIES: Help lead the research, development, tracking and evaluation of market risk metrics. Maintain the Local Market Risk Policy and ensure its adoption and adherence to its policies by the local Commercial teams. Integrate with various enterprise systems, e.g., Allegro. Monitor market risk exposure compared to approved risk limits. Support Commercial decision-making process by analyzing proposals for impact to local and global market risk metrics. Review Commercial agreements, such as PPAs, HRCOs, or other similar documents. Validate monthly mark-to-market calculations, including available market data and underlying assumptions. Support Accounting and Finance teams with routine audits. Support the Global Risk team with risk metric methodology development, enhancements and integration. Improve risk reporting processes including timely, accurate and actionable reporting on current results and changeable in future position value. Identify areas of improvement for the market risk team and propose solutions. Be a change agent for data-driven Commercial decisions and analytics across the enterprise, collaborating with teams across AES. REQUIREMENTS: Job requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Finance, Business Administration, Commercial Engineering or related quantitative field and 2 years of experience with financial risk analysis in the energy industry.
